The Secaucus Board of Education is seeking an exceptional and visionary educational leader to serve as the next Superintendent of Schools. This is a unique opportunity to lead a vibrant, diverse PreK–12 district dedicated to academic excellence, innovation, and student-centered learning.
About the District
Located in Hudson County, just minutes from New York City, the Secaucus Public School District serves approximately 2,118 students across five schools, including one Pre-K School, two Elementary Schools, one Middle School, and one High School. The district is committed to fostering a nurturing, inclusive learning environment where students are empowered to achieve their fullest potential. The District has an operating budget of $51.5 million.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide visionary and strategic leadership for the district
• Foster a culture of academic achievement, equity, and innovation
• Work collaboratively with the Board of Education, staff, families, and community stakeholders
• Oversee district operations, curriculum, budgeting, and personnel management
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
Qualifications
• New Jersey School Administrator Certificate (or eligibility)
• Proven record of successful leadership in public education
• Minimum of 5 years of administrative experience, with superintendent or central office experience preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated commitment to equity, student achievement, and community engagement
Salary
Competitive and commensurate with experience; negotiable based on qualifications in accordance with New Jersey statutes and regulations.
